Vertex
Vertex is a graphical user interface and the first impression for VX1 users. Vertex creates a familar and comfortable experience for launching volumetric programs, obtaining new software and managing settings. Developed as a Web Application using HTML5, NW.JS & neDB.

Key Challenges
- Invuitive UI on small screen
Vertex is primarly designed for a 7' screen (although the UI is scalable). While this isn't mobile small it is still small enough to really for you to cull back on the infomation presented and hiding infomation behind intuitive elements. - Simple and fun
Vertex aims to be fun to use. It has fast fluid animations and customiable themes to give it personality. - Package and update management
designing and implmenting pipelines to download new applications and update software provided a wealth of challenges of research into various technologies.

Conclusion
Project Outcome
Vertex was a great milestone for Voxon. It made our hardware more mature and user friendly. For me personally, it was a great achievement to design something on paper and see it evolve. Vertex has been used for the last 4 years to manage updates and software on our VX1 systems.
